I began Shadowcast by creating the video “Child as Figurine” I focused on the gestural phrases of movement and sought to emphasize and elongate them. During this period the vocabulary of Fairy tale imbibed my work.
“Fairy tale is not purely imagined it is grounded in your earliest memories of right/wrong good/bad. The imagination is of course not just a place of oz colored thoughts and memories.
